22.3.09 firstly, we feel we should apologise for the mix up of us SUPPOSED to be
playing at the Garrick's head in north shields last night, we were never booked in for that date, but
we've been informed that the bar was full of people waiting for us to play.

well, what a whacky weekend we've just had, first of all on Friday at Mandy's
party, then at the smugglers in roker on Saturday, a fantastic time had by all!!

a while back we were contacted to arrange gigs for 2009 at the music rooms in
Sunderland, which were secured then. since then i've recently read comments on riffs online
that the venue is no longer open for bands. I've left the dates on our gig guide for now, and have
tried contacting the person who we'd arranged the gigs with, but as yet, no reply. If any other
venues want those dates filled and you want your night ME ME'D,then don't hesitate to get in touch.

Hi,just to let you all know, that after quite some time now we have tried to contact
the occupants of the bensham jockey to confirm our gigs there ,but to no avail. i called down today to
find the shutters down and a "to let" sign outside, so unfortunately we'll have to class our gig on Friday
31st oct as cancelled as we've had no word from the management. our apologies in advance.

For those of you who acquired our new cd at the Garrick's head on Saturday 26th,we hope
you're enjoying it as much as we did making it.unfortunately,due to a fault of our supplier, some of the discs have not
been burnt (have no music on them). if this is the case for anyone at all, please don't hesitate to contact us asap,and
we will rectify the problem .our very sincere apologies on behalf of our supplier for that.just like to add though that
although it was a really hot night at the garricks,and some of the band members almost collapsed with exhaustion,it
was fantastic as usual.thanks to the garricks ,and to all who gave their support.our t shirt winner this week is.......

just had word from madcat , our CD will be available this weekend at the garricks head gig.make sure you get there early,cos the queue has
already started,poeple are out in their tents,with their flasks of tea and cheese sandwiches.....and the security is tightening up asthere's already been two
fights broke out between mavis and betty,both in their 70's,and avid me me fans,so watch out for them,cos their hard as nails.....and very
ruthless! oh ,and just to add ,we've been asked to play at the meltdown festival in Blyth on Sunday 24th august, the event is on both Saturday and Sunday,
and i think there will be around 20 bands on over the whole weekend, it should be a great time for all involved ,so make an effort and get yourselves
along.our time at that event is yet to be conifirmed.Also,here's our t shirt winner from the borough arms (19.7.08) in gateshead....er LEE,the manager.

well ,ive just got my pc fixed,so we're back into action now,i'll be loading some pics from the
recording studio,and also from the me me's camping trip(when i say me me's ,i really mean me,)cos unfortunately
some us couldn't make it.a great time had by all anyway.
Also ,we've been asked to play at the meltdown festival in blyth(behind the bebside inn),we're busy negotiating a
time slot,but will keep you all posted with that,and to all those regular you yous,we'll see you at the borough arms

just had a call from jeff ,our roadie ,who informed me that the morley wood gig this
coming saturday has been cancelled.i phoned the bar and they have confirmed this ,telling
me that the brewery has changed it's licensing, which unfortunately doesn't include live
music.our apologies.also,just like to say that we had a cracking gig at the bebside last
saturday,a fantastic crowd as usual, special thanks to Jason for his kind donation. photos

well, we were in the studio yesterday,( first avenue in Heaton, Newcastle),managed to
get 6 tracks down ,but the CD needs mixed for the master copy,but all went really
well,thanks to ONE TAKE T hahahahahahah. special thanks to davy,our engineer for the
day.wer'e booked back into the studio on 6th july to finalise everything.
also played at the deuchars on friday, thanks to all who came,andthanks to the management
for their hospitality yet again,and guess who won this weeks t shirt.....................

also, we're at the Deuchars on the leam in Gateshead tonight, and a having a band meeting

after contacting Washington f.c several times since our cancellation, they've spoken to the
brewery ,and have decided to put us back on the bill tonight (ooh i wonder why). hopefully
not too many people have made other plans, cos we're sure to raise the roof tonight !!!!

hi all ,would you believe it .just had a phone call at 11pm from Washington f.c and

place was on fire with adrenalin, a pleasure to play for such a fantastic crowd,
thanks to lee for the gig. can't wait until we're back, and a special thanks to john mc

unfortunately,cowie ,the drummer who was going to be standing in for sparky has had to
be taken into hospital, so due to these unforeseen circumstances we've had to cancel
coming gigs. apologies firstly to the wheatsheaf in long benton , but these are genuine
reasons ,and unavoidable ,and also to the office in south shields and the borough in sunderland .
we've tried all ways of getting round this situation but to no avail.
sparky will hopefully be back in action for the pheonix gig in cramlington,but we'll have a
better idea after he's had his op.

( WHO ACTUALLY SAYS THAT! , COS I FOR ONE DON'T KNOW), BUT WE'VE RECRUITED DAVY "MAD CAT" , AND OLD FRIEND , WHO WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO STEP IN , ESPECIALLY AT SUCH SHORT NOTICE FOR OUR GIG AT THE OFFICE IN SOUTH SHIELDS THIS SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER. DONATIONS FROM THE EVENT WILL GO TOWARDS THE TREATMENT MELISSA NOW NEEDS.
